FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE

FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE   Alice Woodhull
1 1/2 cup sugar (Splenda works)
1 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cornstarch
Few drops red food coloring
3 tablespoons strawberry gelatin (sugar free is ok, use about half a package)
1 quart strawberies
1 baked pie crust
Combine sugar and cornstarch until well mixed. Add water and bring to a boil and cook until thick and clear. Add food coloring and gelatin. Remove from heat and let cool. Clean and drain strawberries. Place in pie crust. Chill. May be garnished with whipped topping and fresh strawberry slices.
